Squirrel Studios!

So! I have a bit of news. I've been quiet for a bit as so much is going on at the moment. I've been hentastic and working on lots of bespoke wedding stationery too, all in advance of the two brilliant wedding fairs I'm doing next month (ooh, and I'll be giving away a pair of tickets to The Most Curious Wedding Fair later this week so pop back for that!)

That's part of the reason I've been quiet - but the other part is I've been making a BIG decision, and sorting out things to do with said big decision! If you follow my blog and my ever evolving story of Oh Squirrel you may remember that last year in May I left my previous job and career in fashion buying to set up Oh Squirrel full time. It was a huge risk and challenge, but my golly it was the best decision I've ever made. With a lot of hard work, late nights, energy and learning I'm so proud of what I've achieved. So what's next? I have so many plans including taking on more wholesale clients and expanding my hen party and wedding stationery ranges, believe me, you ain't seen nothing yet! Since working on Oh Squirrel full time I've mostly worked from home, however with the growth of my business and the amount of work I'm currently taking on I've decided to make 'squirrel studios' a reality!

From April, I will be moving into a proper studio!!!!!!!!!

I'll tell you more about it when I'm all moved in and set up, but this is a huge game changer! I've loved working from home but this is the logical step for a growing business and hopefully a way to restore a bit of a work/life balance too. The studio is a beautiful walk through the park away from my home and is a vibrant space with other folk there to chat to (this is good, I have been doing my own head in a lot recently!). I'm excited to be able to have a creative space to take client appointments from time to time, and just to be able to properly work without distractions you get from being at home. I'm a very focused lady already so hopefully this is going to make things even better and more efficient!

With this in mind, I'm probably going to continue being a little quiet on the whole blogging/social media front for the next couple of weeks whilst making all the final arrangements. My etsy shop will operate as usual during this time so no problems there.

I'm so bloody excited about this - I can't quite believe that within a year of being full time self employed I've signed paperwork for a North London studio space, but I have! I might need pinching a few times over the next few days because it's all beginning to get wonderfully real. I'm so thankful to everyone who is supporting me on this journey!!!!!

So that's my news! Errrrrr, so anyone getting rid of a nice filing cabinet?!
